- The Weekend RN House Supervisor works two 12 hour shifts (one shift Saturday and one shift Sunday) from 7am to 7pm.
- Monitors the operation of the facility on weekends and performs general supervisory responsibilities to ensure proper resident care, 
- Makes recommendations to the Director of Nursing on issues affecting the services to residents on weekends,
- Supervises the orientation of new nursing department staff on the nursing wings,
- Reviews staffing issues during the weekend shifts and corrects staffing shortages due to call in if necessary; reassigns staff if necessary.
- Responds to resident and family issues.  Talks with physicians regarding resident care needs.
 - Examines incident and accident reports and verifies details. 
- Gives weekend report to the Director of Nursing
- Familiar with the facility disaster preparedness plan and executes responsibilities if and when necessary.
- If necessary due to call in may perform the duties of a charge nurse to ensure continuity of resident care. 
- Completes paper work or projects assigned by the Director of Nursing.
- Receives calls from case managers at area hospitals regarding weekend admissions.  Coordinates with Facility Screening coordinator to accomplish admissions.
- Will assist nursing staff on weekend discharges from facility.
