Electro-Mechanical Technician
 
 
The primary function of this position is to perform troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and installations of electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and plumbing equipment and machinery, as well as, fabricate and modify parts in accordance with blueprints, drawings, plans and schematics according to a set schedule and in emergency and non- emergency situations.
 
Essential Functions
 

Work from preventative maintenance schedules, various checklists, maintenance manuals, diagrams, specifications and blueprints.
Diagnose and troubleshoot a variety of electrical and electronic problems involving control and conventional wiring, temperature control circuits, as well as electronic circuits and equipment. 
Tear down unit or system and make any necessary mechanical, hydraulic, plumbing or heating repairs, adjustments or replacements.
Replace defective devices, modules, breakers, circuit boards, change fuses, adjust and test operate in-house designed control panels.
Wire and assemble limited equipment designed by Engineering and perform operating check on all assembled equipment.
Perform bench repairs to fit and assemble bearings, shafts, spindles, gears, rotors and motors.
Repair of electrical equipment and apparatus including, panel-boards, switchboards, electronic and control equipment, apparatus, alarm and communication systems, feeders, branch circuits and fixtures as required
Set-up and teardown production equipment, perform changeovers and overhauls as required.
Perform work in refrigeration systems checking electrical control and related maintenance on plant heating equipment.
Fabricate, sharpen, repair or modify parts to work order specifications, using lathes, surface grinders, mills, drills and other power tools.
Perform routine welding and preventative maintenance tasks on equipment as required and special projects as assigned.
 Assist all Trades with repairs, replacements, adjustments, modifications to equipment, machinery, wiring, piping etc. as directed.
Maintain tools, equipment and work area in a clean and orderly manner.
Perform similar or related operations as assigned, perform basic housekeeping and complete all related paperwork as required.
